Here’s how we make each piece.... step by step:

1. Design Prep: Everything starts in-house, where we create and refine the artwork, breaking it down into single-color layers. We print these designs on transparency sheets with a Canon TS5000.

2. Screen Preparation: Screens are coated with photo-sensitive emulsion and dried in a light-sensitive area. The designs are exposed under a halogen lamp, unexposed emulsion is washed out to reveal the stencil.

3. Printing Process: We use 200 GSM blanks for production. Ink colours are mixed, and screens are registered to press. Designs are printed using an 18" squeegee.

4. Details: Woven labels are sewn using 100% cotton thread and a Singer sewing machine.

5. Packing and Shipping: Orders are sent out with branded Another Department stickers.

Hand screen-printing is an artform. It is a tricky process. Mixing colours, preparing garments, mass production, careful consideration. 

The upmost care is placed in preparing and printing your orders. The process is 100% DIY. There is no mass production factory being used. Small human errors can be made during the printing process, please accept these as fingerprints. Part of the artform and hand process of production.
